Project Love

Painting the last lines
Of two years of emotions
From where I first turned
Toward you from the rips
He served me none-the-less
Because my blood still beat
And you were the steps
From my unwashed sheets
Of forever's hands gripping
My unwelcomed healing
But my healing was welcomed
By the sounds of your descriptions
Of a world you see playing
My lives danced into pages
Remembering how they were
Just feelings that were passing
Glimpses and grabbing of
Moments I held as well
As thrown to drawn in ART
Your moments walking across
My visions of you like
little dinosaur monsters
Cartooned into games with
Your name became My Gift
Your lists of figures as faces
Hurting instead of you or
Instead of what you saw
They could do when you opened
And there is where I turned to you

The last colors are still on the
Pencils that were inked open
So that the sets and rises
Peek onto the edges as I opened
I wanted you already there
Yet, here I still only crawl
On two knees along the revealed
Another page of could-be's
Made like paperdolls for me
To hold your hand until the last
Bleeding black for patterns
That thought they 'd cry another
Sleeping upon you in visions
Did you dream there, drawn
Holding my letting-go again
Until the water took more
Of what could-be or been
Roots gone yet in pictures
Does that mean birth or bigger
Like life had been growing
Before I discovered you speaking
Of what you loved in your eyes
Things I could touch once
Remembering to create again
Stimulated by my longing of
More could-be's than my womb
Could birth a litter, gone
Because you are now my
Sea Horse holding all this us
