Under My Guard, You Breathe

Under My Guard you breathe

Under My Guard, You Breathe

I've watched these swirls
As the curls hold me
Becoming the many arms
That never held me once
Each, learning my heal as
They go around my spirals
Painting my curves for a
Place I can turn in, to see
My many eyes and many minds
From the opened inside unleveled
Deep to be risen from where
I dug deeper until there were
Stars called onto star-paths
Into this heart where more
Chambers to my love were
Opened onto another stage
Another light, I always had
There, the sparkle spun
As I am center in this magic
Of worlds I made and seeds I am
If I am silent enough could
You hear where my heart lives
Even if it hid inside the darkest
Pull of black-hole center there
In our galaxy, weighing more
Than the tears of planets held
More than the smiles that relieved
The doors that hurt being closed
Open as the fresh air before rain

Can you hold that image that
I've found alone, longing for
All encompassing warmth of
My own compassion met and
If you held that view long
Enough of me would whisper
Of the love I could touch you
Where you never knew could be
Open for the breath of nova
In colors of your own soul
Licking your inhale, your gasp
Of the beauty only your
Truth could give back from
My eyes upon you there
Sitting, reading me again
Because you want more of
How whole you feel alone
Being that truth there in
Darkness or under candle
Forever a question now on
Lips that curl in pleasant
Emotions and memories of
Where did the hollow go?
Inside every jack-o-lantern
Lit and aged and crushed by
Passed holidays that need no date
To spend with cartoons upon
Each foot bound for steps
That have already reached my rain
