If I

If I

If I

There is a center
That burns
With hidden scars
If you found it
Would it sizzle
From the touch that
Cools my past
This place you could
Mark with your own
If I dare trust you
To enter me there
Would you turn my gate
Inside as you seek
How deep I am
And tighten my grip
On your world
That you find
Could it heal on
Your voice of want
Before the distance found
Could it sooth there
As you think upon
The climb into
Has my words already
Invited you for
Rhythm igniting
From my death
Will this life
Cause my melting under

The list of the
Broke-me's found
Would cry for
The trust only dreamed
If held tighter then
Could I become
Another being
As my light fills
These holes once ripped
As your own sings
For the moths in flame
Would the edges lick
The tops of mountains
On my horizon
And your head could
Rest upon the mound
Of where a world
Was birthed
Breathing in my
Soft cool skin
Holding on to my
Handles of paradise
Would you start
Again the layers
Over no longer torn
Across the waiting
To be filled with
The safety you
Overflow there
